Job Description

Teachwise is currently looking for a skilled and experienced behaviour mentor for a local secondary academy based in Manchester. The role will begin after May half-term and will continue on a full-time, long-term basis. The role will involve working with pupils across KS3 & KS4 who are dis-engaged and exhibit challenging behaviour. You will need to have excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to engage with a pupils from a wide array of backgrounds. The position would suit someone who has previously worked as a behaviour mentor within a secondary school setting or someone who has worked with secondary age pupils within a sports club, youth club or outreach. Key skills: * Experience working with pupils across KS3/4 * Excellent communication skills * Ability to engage and build rapport quickly * Ability to manage and improve challenging behaviour * Committed to pupil progress and positive outcomes * Available for work after Easter on a full-time basis * Hold right to work in the UK * Hold and enhanced DBS certificate on the update service In return, you will benefit from a competitive rate of pay based upon experience, paid weekly into your account.
