Teaching Assistant (TA) - Supporting Pupils with ASC Bolton | Full-time Are you a patient, resilient, and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary SEN school in Bolton, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils with ASC. You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop social and communication skills, and thrive in a structured, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies Support communication using visual aids, PECS, or other structured approaches Help create a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the class teacher Support pupils with personal care where required The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with children with ASC or other SEN needs (preferred) A calm, patient, and empathetic approach Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to adapt and respond to individual pupil needs A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing What We Offer A supportive and experienced staff team Ongoing training and professional development A rewarding role making a real difference in children's lives A positive and inclusive school environment If you are passionate about supporting children with ASC and want to be part of a dedicated SEN setting, we would love to hear from you.
