Job Title: SEMH Teacher Area: Leeds, West Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Rate: £140 - £220 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm About the School Are you a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs? As an SEMH Teacher, you'll join a team of dedicated professionals focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred education tailored to each learner's individual needs. As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Deliver SEMH-focused teaching - Provide high-quality, personalised lessons that support pupils with complex needs. Plan and differentiate learning - Create engaging, therapeutic lessons aligned with EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones. Collaborate with the wider team - Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure a consistent, holistic approach. Support emotional and social development - Promote resilience, self-regulation, and positive relationships through a calm, restorative approach.What We're Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in SEMH or behaviour support - Experience in SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, or strong SEN/behaviour experience in mainstream. Calm and resilient practice - Ability to remain consistent, empathetic, and supportive in challenging situations. Passion for inclusive education - Commitment to ensuring every child makes progress, no matter their starting point. Adaptable teaching methods - Skilled in delivering personalised learning that meets diverse emotional and academic needs.To be eligible, you must: Hold Right to Work in the UK.
