PE Teacher – Full-Time Great Missenden | Secondary School Setting September Start | MPS/UPS Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded school in the Great Missenden area to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to join a dynamic department and inspire students to develop a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and healthy living. The Role As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and personal development, delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable). You will contribute to both curriculum PE and extracurricular sport, helping to build a strong sporting culture within the school. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and activities Inspire pupils to participate actively and develop their physical skills and confidence Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development Support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and school sporting events Maintain a safe and positive learning environment in line with health and safety standards Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department and wider school Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting (or strong placement experience) Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Passionate, energetic, and engaging teaching style Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work full-time in the Great Missenden area from September Desirable Experience teaching GCSE PE Ability to contribute to a range of extracurricular sports Experience supporting pupils with SEN Knowledge of assessment frameworks within PE Commitment to ongoing professional development Why This Role?
