Groundworker / General Operative – BESS Site
We are currently recruiting for experienced Groundworkers / General Operatives to work on a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project based in Eccles, Scotland. This is a great opportunity to join a busy site with consistent work running through until September.
Job Details:
📍 Location: Eccles, Coldstream, Scotland
💼 Role: Groundworker / General Operative
💰 Pay: CIS (rates dependent on experience)
🕒 Hours: 10h
📅 Start: Immediate start available
📆 Duration: September
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out general groundwork duties including trenching, ducting, and backfilling
Assisting with site preparation and installation works
Supporting plant operators and skilled trades on site
Ensuring materials are moved and handled safely
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Adhering to all site health & safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
✅ Valid CSCS Card (essential)
✅ Previous experience in groundworks, civils, or construction environments
✅ Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team
✅ Good understanding of health & safety practices on site
✅ Own transport is preferred due to site location
