We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Teachers to join our supply team, supporting a range of primary and secondary schools across Peterborough. About the Role
As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning.
Assignments may vary from daily cover to short- and long-term placements depending on school needs and your availability.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver lessons across a range of subjects (primary or secondary depending on experience)
* Maintain classroom discipline in line with school policies
* Ensure students complete set work and stay on task
* Provide clear handover notes to teaching staff
* Adapt quickly to different school environments
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience
* Strong classroom management skills
* Flexible, reliable, and confident working in new settings
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* A positive and professional attitude
