Learning Support Assistant We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist SEMH/SEN provision supporting pupils aged 11–16. This is a long term temp to perm position. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support pupils both academically and emotionally. You will play a vital role in helping young people develop confidence, resilience, self-regulation, and the skills they need to succeed. You will: * Support pupils within lessons and throughout the school day. * Build strong, positive relationships that promote trust and engagement. * Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their individual goals. * Provide academic support across a range of subjects. * Promote emotional regulation, wellbeing, and positive behaviour. * Support personalised learning and intervention programmes. * Encourage independence, confidence, and self-esteem. * Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. We Are Looking for Someone Who: * Has experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH and/or SEND needs. * Understands that behaviour is often a form of communication. * Is patient, calm, and emotionally resilient. * Can remain positive and solution-focused in challenging situations. * Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Is proactive and willing to use initiative.
