Full Time EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Key Responsibilities * Support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individual and small-group interventions. * Adapt activities and resources to meet pupils’ individual learning, communication, and sensory needs. * Promote children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development. * Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour. * Observe, monitor, and record pupils’ progress and share feedback with staff and parents as appropriate. * Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. * Build positive relationships Person Specification * Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting. * Good English and Maths skills. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * Patient, caring, and able to engage and support pupils. * Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team. * Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing * Experience supporting pupils with SEND. Desirable * Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or training. * Experience supporting pupils with SEND. * Knowledge of the primary curriculum. * Experience delivering interventions or small-group support. * First aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training). * Commitment to ongoing professional development. Additional Information * The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check
