Machine Operator / Factory Operative
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 6:00pm (12-hour shifts)
Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator / Factory Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, involving machine operation, quality checks, and general factory duties. The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and able to commit to the shift pattern on a long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities
Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
Loading raw materials and monitoring machine performance
Carrying out quality inspections on finished products
Following production schedules and work instructions
Packing and preparing products for dispatch
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Reporting faults or issues to supervisors
Supporting the wider production team as required
Adhering to all health and safety procedures Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory, or machine operating role is desirable
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance
Physically fit and capable of being on your feet for extended periods
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Able to work independently and as part of a team Important
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be able to commit to the working hours on a regular basis.
Reliability and attendance are essential, as the production team relies on full shift coverage to meet customer demand.
