Kenton Black are delighted to be supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join their team on a major substation project based in Killin. This freelance position runs until October, offering an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional seeking consistent work on a high-profile energy infrastructure scheme. Key Responsibilities - Setting Out Duties - Quality Assurance - Surveying & Reporting - Technical Support - Health & Safety Compliance - Stakeholder Coordination - Problem Solving What You Bring - Previous Site Engineering Experience on civil engineering or energy infrastructure projects - Strong understanding of substation construction or heavy civils (desirable but not essential) - Proficiency with surveying equipment such as GPS, total station, and auto-levels - Solid knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and engineering standards - Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider project teams - A proactive, detail-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work - Valid CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications Why This Role?
