Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a Year 5 class in line with the National Curriculum. Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps. Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents/carers. Contribute positively to the wider life of the school. Uphold safeguarding and behaviour expectations at all times. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported. Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5, is desirable. Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
