HGV Class 2 Driver
We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Paddock Wood, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional Category C Driver who is happy to take on hands-on yard duties alongside driving responsibilities.
Location: Paddock Wood, Kent
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 | No weekends
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with the potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity
The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 / Category C vehicle for local deliveries and collections across the region. This role would suit an experienced LGV Class 2 Driver, Cat C Driver, or Rigid Driver who enjoys a varied role combining driving and yard-based duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out local deliveries and collections as a Delivery Driver Class 2
Completing multi-drop deliveries when required
Assisting in the yard during quieter driving periods
Moving pallets safely and efficiently around the yard
Supporting loading and unloading activities
Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations
Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
What We're Looking For
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Previous experience as a HGV Driver, LGV Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver
A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to assist with yard duties
Good knowledge of driver compliance and road transport regulations
