Fish factory operative

Job Description

Our client is looking for Fish production operatives to work on their busy production lines. Factory is based in Hull (HU3 area, off Hessle Road). Responsibilities: • Remove bones and other unwanted parts of raw material as required • Inspect fish for quality, reporting any defects or issues. • Maintain food hygiene standards • Follow production schedules and complete daily filleting quotas. • Use equipment such as tweezers correctly • Maintain PPE and utensils given to the required standard • Handle fish correctly with due care and in accordance with instruction • Carry out all lifting tasks in line with instruction and Manual Handling Instruction • Any other reasonable request from your supervisor/manager • Report any faults within the production line • Report any issues regarding the quality of the product – either raw material or packaging • Report any health and safety issues or concerns to supervisors/managers • Comply with Health and Safety requirements Requirements: • Previous experience in fish processing or related work preferred • Ability to work standing for long periods and perform repetitive tasks • Strong hand-eye coordination and knife skills • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards • Physical stamina and attention to detail • Ability to work in a cold, wet, or refrigerated environment Previous experience is essential in similar role Immeadiate start for right candidates Regular, ongoing work Shift pattern: DAYS Monday to Friday 05:00-15:00 or 15:00-23:00 Initially temporary but permanent roles are available for the right candidates To apply, please call Sandra on (phone number removed) or send your CV to (url removed) Skills Required filleting trimming knife skills Keywords trimming portioning processing
