About the Role
Immediate starts are available for experienced Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers looking for regular ongoing night work across Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver seeking consistent shifts, competitive rates of pay and long-term work with an established transport operation.
As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will complete trunking runs to the Midlands and other locations across the North of England, operating double-deck curtain-sided trailers. This role is ideal for experienced Class 1 Drivers who enjoy night work, regular routes and professional driving assignments.
Start times are between 4:00pm and 8:00pm, providing consistent night shifts and ongoing work opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, your duties will include:
* Completing night trunk runs to the Midlands and locations across the North of England.
* Driving Class 1 (C+E) double-deck curtain-sided trailers.
* Opening and closing curtains on double-deck trailers where required.
* Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
* Completing transport documentation accurately.
* Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and within required timeframes.
* Communicating effectively with transport teams regarding routes and delivery requirements.
* Working in full compliance with Driver Hours, the Working Time Directive and all road transport regulations.
Requirements
We're looking for reliable and professional Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers who take pride in their work, operate safely and understand the importance of transport compliance.
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
* A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year.
* At least 1 year's Class 1 driving experience.
* A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
* A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* No more than 6 penalty points.
* No endorsements resulting in a driving ban or disqualification.
* A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
* A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
