Science Teacher - PRU
Remedy Education are looking for a confident and resilient Science Teacher to join a PRU based in Greenwich on a part-time basis.
This role is ideal for a Science Teacher who has strong classroom management and is confident supporting pupils who may have SEMH needs, challenging behaviour or gaps in their education. The school are looking for someone who can deliver engaging Science lessons and help pupils build confidence in their learning.
Role Details:
Position: Science Teacher
Location: Greenwich
Setting: PRU
Days: 3 days per week
Pay: £180-£230 per day
Start Date: ASAP
The Role:
* Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons within a PRU setting
* Support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour and low confidence
* Adapt teaching to suit different abilities and learning needs
* Create a calm, structured and positive classroom environment
* Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
* Help pupils re-engage with education and make progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience teaching Science at secondary level
* QTS or strong relevant teaching experience
* Experience in a PRU, SEMH school or alternative provision is desirable
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* A patient, resilient and consistent approach
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
