PLC Programmer – Contract

Job Description
We have a number of contract opportunities available for experienced PLC Programmers to support high-value automotive commissioning projects based in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to work on bespoke automation machinery, including pick-and-place systems, within a fast-paced engineering environment.
The contracts are expected to run until Christmas 2026, with immediate starts available for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
* Commission PLC software on high-value automotive automation projects.
* Work on bespoke machinery, including pick-and-place systems.
* Support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation during commissioning phases.
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure systems are delivered to specification.
* Identify and resolve control system issues efficiently on site.
Essential Experience
* Strong experience programming and commissioning PLC systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
* Previous experience working within the automotive sector.
* Confident working on site during commissioning and start-up phases.
* Ability to troubleshoot automation and control system issues independently.
Desirable Skills
* Profinet experience.
* Sinamics experience.
* Motion control experience.
* Offline programming experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
