1:1 KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant - Stockport | Full Time | September 2026
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS2 at a welcoming Primary School in the Stockport area from September 2026.
This is a rewarding but challenging role, supporting a child with additional needs who requires consistent, positive behaviour support. The successful candidate must be confident managing challenging behaviour, building strong relationships and creating a calm, structured learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis in a primary setting
Hold a valid Team Teach qualification (essential)
Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
Be reliable, resilient and enthusiastic, with a nurturing approach
Work effectively as part of a supportive school teamThis is a full-time position starting in September 2026.
