SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Kingston -Upon-Thames Start date: 3rd September 2026 Contract: full-time | Monday – Friday | 8:30am to 4pm   The Role We are seeking a caring, proactive and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Kingston area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals within a nurturing and inclusive school environment. Main Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning and intervention programmes. Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development throughout the school day. Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and encourage pupil engagement. Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment. Monitor pupil progress and contribute to observations and feedback for the wider school team.About You A compassionate, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting children with SEN. Previous experience working with children with additional needs in a school or similar setting is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team. A proactive, adaptable and positive attitude.
