Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist setting in Rochdale.

The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
Support pupils in managing emotions, behaviour and engagement in learning.
Build positive, trusting relationships to promote confidence and resilience.
Use de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to support pupils throughout the school day.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider pastoral team to deliver personalised support.
Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and positive social interactions.
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs.
A calm, patient and resilient approach.
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
Ability to remain positive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
