Job Description

Teaching Assistant Remedy Education are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work with supportive schools based in Islington. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are passionate about supporting children and young people within a school setting. The schools are looking for confident, proactive and caring individuals who can support pupils with their learning, behaviour, confidence and daily classroom routines. Role Details: Position: Teaching Assistant Location: Islington Pay: £100-£117 per day Hours: Full-time / part-time roles available Start Date: ASAP / September roles available School Type: Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will: * Support pupils in class on a 1:1, small group and whole-class basis * Assist teachers with lessons, activities and classroom routines * Help pupils stay focused, engaged and confident in their learning * Support positive behaviour and encourage participation * Work with pupils of different abilities and learning needs * Help create a calm, supportive and inclusive classroom environment * Support pupils with additional needs where required * Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Previous experience working with children or young people * School, nursery, tutoring, care, mentoring or youth work experience is desirable * A patient, reliable and positive approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs * A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved * An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one This is a fantastic opportunity for Teaching Assistants looking for rewarding school-based roles within Islington.
