Job Description

Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a charitable business based in Fareham on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will deliver accurate financial support across the organisation, including income processing, reconciliations and maintaining high-quality financial records. The role also supports housing-related finance activities such as rents and service charges, while providing clear information to managers and resolving queries. The Finance Officer Role: Maintain and reconcile rent and service charge records, ensuring accuracy at all times Monitoring accounts, identifying arrears, overpayments and discrepancies Carry out credit control activities including arrears reporting and repayment plans Process financial transactions, journals and maintain supporting records and reconciliations Prepare reports, dashboards and support KPI monitoring Manage shared inbox and respond to queries, supporting managers with financial information Assist with month-end, year-end and audit processes, providing wider team support The Ideal Finance Officer Candidate: Previous experience within a similar position Strong knowledge of accounting principles Previous experience within a housing or local authority environment is advantageous Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Flexible, proactive and willing to support different departments as required Benefits: Competitive Salary Flexible working hours Hybrid working – 3 days office, 2 days at home Please contact Zoe Jones at Dynamite Recruitment on (phone number removed) for more details or apply now
